Ax ex Portland Rose Festival princess was in Lane County Circuit Court this week for felony theft charges.
The Register-Guard spokeman said that 19-year-old Mercedes Whitecalf had a public defender and did not enter a plea.
She was arrested by Eugene police July 27th with two 16-year-olds. Police say the trio stole jewelry, clothing and perfume from a lot of Eugene stores.

A policeman says investigators recovered thousands of dollars worth, after finding Whitecalf and the two minors trying to sell some of the goods at a nearby second-hand store.
